The biggest challenge for our industry is crewing and the ability to manage crew through the inevitable peaks and troughs, the quality of your crew defines the quality of your creative product. Our collective focus should be shifted towards the design and creative aspects of content and the education of the next generation of highly skilled vfx artists.
The growth in China and the rapid expansion of this vast market and the new partnerships developing as a result. Also the ever expanding Marvel & DC universe format that drives an extensive amount of VFX production.
VR and AR are emerging as important tools and we see these as the next frontier in storytelling. The shift from the creation, transmission, and consumption of information to the creation, transmission, and consumption of experiences will define this new platform.
Our down to earth collaborative attitude and dedication to the process of producing consistently inventive work whilst offering up an amazing environment for clients when working here. Also our proximity to the rest of the world often requires our artists to be multi-disciplinary with the ability to wear many hats.
We find it extremely inspiring to work with directors and supervisors that challenge us to be as creative as we can be, whilst also providing us the room to offer up alternate ideas and approaches, all to enhance the story being told.
My ongoing search for perfect waves, I love surfing and being in and around the ocean, it’s a great escape for me. I cannot wait to see the smile on my young daughter’s face when she catches her first wave.
