Animal Logic’s development and creative arm, Animal Logic Entertainment has formed a joint venture with Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment! The deal will see the development and production of six family oriented animation and hybrid animation films over the span of five years.

Imagine Entertainment has always been involved in the family film genre, with How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Curious George amongst some of their most well-known titles. Similarly, Animal Logic is no stranger to the family film genre. In addition to providing groundbreaking visual effects for many Hollywood blockbusters, the company has also managed to carve out a niche for itself by delivering story driven projects stamped with the visual and technical innovation that has become the hallmark of the studio’s work. Animal Logic has worked on the Oscar-winning Happy Feet, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, The LEGO® Movie, The LEGO® Batman Movie as well as Peter Rabbit, which is currently in production.

In an interview about the partnership, Brian Grazer commented, “the animation space consistently outperforms other genres and we wanted to enter into that space by partnering with a company that is at the forefront of creative and technical achievement. Animal Logic is one of the industry’s most highly regarded digital production studios and I am excited for what we can create by combining our resources and talent in storytelling.”
