Filmed on location in Queensland including Village Roadshow Studios and the Daintree Rainforest, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is officially the highest grossing movie in the Legendary and Warner Bros. Monsterverse bringing in a mighty $570M at the worldwide box office.

In our latest Ausfilm Insider, Producer Eric McLeod said on their decision to return to the Gold Coast for the third time, it was “the diversity of locations and the solid crew base”. Executive Producer, Jen Conroy echoed Eric’s statements adding “it’s really the crew, the best in the world, honestly … I’ve shot all over and to be able to come back to this crew that we’ve gone to time and time again, it feels like family, but they are also very, very talented at what they do”. 

They also called out the Queensland Government for supporting the film’s production and the Australian Federal Government’s Location Offset, which is now officially legislated at 30%.
