Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga reveals the first peek behind the scenes
Film fans have been gifted a glimpse behind the scenes of George Miller’s highly anticipated Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, thanks to new pictures released by Warner Bros.
From the visionary mind of the Academy Award-winner and starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, the film returns to the iconic dystopian world he created with the seminal “Mad Max” films to reveal the origins of the powerhouse character from the Oscar-winning smash Mad Max: Fury Road.
Principal photography on the production took place in Australia in 2022, with regional New South Wales providing much of the iconic outback scenery for the film.
The New South Wales Government’s Made in NSW fund and PDV Rebate and the Federal Government’s Producer Offset helped to secure the production for the state, with the film expected to be the biggest ever made in Australia, injecting at least $350 million into the local economy.
“The support of the Federal and New South Wales Governments were pivotal. They made it possible for the film to be greenlit, shot in Australia and for the production to be based in our home state.”
