A massive part of KOJO’s longevity comes down to the deep-rooted creative relationships they’ve built with directors. They’ve spent years collaborating with top-tier talent, backing the sweeping cinematic style of Scott Hicks, the genre-defining horror of Greg McLean, the fearless storytelling of Jennifer Kent, and the meteoric rise of Danny and Michael Philippou. These long-term partnerships are built on genuine trust and a shared obsession with the craft.
“Thirty years is a massive milestone, something Marty and I are immensely proud of. It’s a great chance to look back at the incredible projects, partnerships and people who have shaped what KOJO is today.”
Dale Roberts, CEO, KOJO

“We’ve been lucky enough to work with filmmakers worldwide on stories of every size. Through all the industry shifts, our focus has stayed the same: genuine collaboration and delivering great results for our clients.”

Ultimately, a 30-year legacy belongs to the people behind the screens. Over the decades, KOJO has been a hub for some of the industry’s most talented and dedicated professionals, including producers, VFX artists, technicians, colourists, compositors and editors. Many have dedicated years of their careers to the studio, quietly putting their skills and creativity into project after project.
Looking ahead, KOJO isn’t slowing down. The team continues to handle every phase of the picture post process, offering integrated, world-class services straight out of Australia.

“As the screen industry keeps evolving, we’re focused on building on this foundation,” Roberts adds. “We want to make sure KOJO stays the go-to creative and technical partner for productions with big, ambitious stories to tell.”
As KOJO enters its fourth decade, now part of PMY Group, the focus remains firmly on investing in new talent, cutting-edge technology and creative excellence to bring global stories to life.

Extensive work has been done to establish a robust workload for through local projects and international productions outsourcing their post to Australia – with Australia’s financial incentives playing a key role in generating interest.
“We call this the ‘Big Triangle’. Where our US-based clients are shooting projects in Eastern Europe or the Middle East and then sending the post-production, colour, VFX and delivery work to KOJO in Australia to get the currency advantage and up to 45% cash rebate. It’s a highly mature workflow with compelling financial advantages.”
