It’s no secret that Melbourne is a leader in VFX and animation.
The cosmopolitan city is home to many world-class studios, whose quality of output, alongside Film Victoria’s competitive attraction fund, is the reason why more and more creators are choosing to bring their VFX and animation projects to Victoria.
Last year was a record year for VFX and animation production in Victoria and it continues to grow. Both sectors are demonstrating resilience during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, with their highly skilled creatives working remotely to continue delivering the outstanding content they are known for.
The exceptional work of Melbourne VFX studios, Luma Pictures and Method Studios can be seen in Spider-Man: Far from Home, Game of Thrones, Aquaman, Mary Poppins Returns and Christopher Robin while local animation studios have created award-winning content for Cartoon Network, Disney and Nickelodeon.
Film Victoria continues to welcome applications for its Production Incentive Attraction Fund, Post, Digital and Visual Effects (PIAF PDV) and the team is ready to introduce you to the state’s many talented creatives and screen businesses.
